Park Avenue Terrace Garden

With spectacular skyline views and lots of exposure, our goal with this penthouse terrace garden was to strike a balance between airiness and privacy while also carving out "outdoor rooms" from it's narrow footprint.

The dining area, appointed with durable teak furnishings, features breezy ornamental grasses and hydrangea shrubs while a cozy lounge area with plush seating is enveloped by small serviceberry trees, ornamental grasses, and perennial plantings. The two outdoor living spaces are connected via a narrow corridor planted with a dynamic palette of flowering perennials, ornamental grasses, hydrangeas and evergreen shrubs that are enjoyed from both the outdoors and interior and provides four seasons of color and interest.

Low voltage lighting and outdoor speakers nested throughout the planters make this space perfect for entertaining friends and family even after sunset.
